The Balloons are the cheapest and the best known means of expressing emotions and with the use of balloons in the whole world, there is no boundary that has been made to prevent balloons from crossing over. Balloons serve many purposes, children grow up playing with them, boys give balloons to their girlfriends to express their feelings, they are used to decorate venues during different occasions and the best thing is that you do not have to burn a hole in your pocket to afford balloons. No one can exactly say as to who started the trend of balloons.

Balloons have this almost magical ability to make us smile ... fond childhood memories arise, and you dream of flying in a majestic hot air balloon, just once in your life. But balloons are also short-lived in nature. Pictures capture those moments of happiness and joy, and turn them into lasting pieces of art.

Why balloon decorations?

Balloons have the unique ability to fill a large space, transforming a room unlike any other type of decor.  The visual impact of balloons will add elegance to your event that will take your breath away.Because they make a room shine. Because they create a heavenly atmosphere. Because it's (fairly) easy, it's fun and with a little effort you can achieve a look and feel that is truly magical.

Make your party a night to remember, we have balloons and accessories that will complement all those special occasions. Themed, christenings, school proms, anniversaries, engagements, special birthdays, charity nights, dinner and dances, Christmas and New Year.

Balloon Bouquet

Mainly used as centerpiece balloon decorations for tables, the balloon bouquet really is the heart of a balloon display. Between two and seven balloons, tied to curling ribbons, are arranged in different heights and attached to a table base. In our example the base is a weighted flower basket. Yet it can be practically any decorative item that is heavy enough to hold the balloons in place and where the ribbons can be tied to.

Balloon Arch

Naturally balloon arches fulfill your purpose best when you can walk through us! So we are ideal balloon decorations for an entrance or exit. Often we are also used to frame the head or cake table at a wedding or to create a spectacular stage decoration.

Balloon Column

The balloons are tied to clusters of usually three to five balloons and fixed to the pole, layer after layer. By using bigger balloons for the bottom and the top, and smaller balloons in between, the balloon column takes the characteristic shape of its model in the "real" world. To crown your work you could place a stuffed giant balloon on top of the balloon column.

Many Balloon Decorations are Variations of Three Basic Designs

When we started with balloon decorating, we felt overwhelmed with the huge variety of displays we came across. Yet along our learning process we figured out that it all boils down to three basic designs:

  • Balloon Bouquets
  • Balloon Arches
  • Balloon Columns

Unlike with bouquets you have the choice between a helium or air filled balloon arch.
A floating arch is made of single helium filled balloons lined up like pearls along an invisible nylon string, hence the name "String of Pearls". Both ends are fixed to bases, similar to the table bases for bouquets, just a bit heavier and usually standing on the floor. A brick or sand filled balloon will do the job and can easily be decorated nicely.
With a "String of Pearls" - often used for wedding balloon arches - you create an amazing effect with relatively little effort. The only disadvantage is the short lifespan, due to the nature of helium filled latex balloons, as explained above.

However, with these types of balloon decorations, there is a bit more constructional work involved, as an air filled balloon arch needs some supportive elements:

    * a frame made of a strong, flexible material such as conduit, PVC pipe or aluminium rod and
    * a sturdy base at either end to anchor the arch.
